About this Costume
Construction Details:
Completed Sept 2011 Original design for what Charlotte might have looked like during her days as a puella, or magical girl. I took elements from both of her forms in the anime - the cute, caped Charlotte with the candy wrapper shaped head, and the polka dotted worm version. A few things worth mentioning about the costume - back of the top has the same image as the back of her cape, the face of the 'worm' form of Witch Charlotte, which was appliqued on. Bloomer shorts feature appliqued polka dots. I made the soul gem to look like the candy-wrapped head of her witch form, and placed it over the stomach on a bow to imply her love of foods (sweets and cheese). The red and blue bows mimic the red and blue shaped 'feelers' on her worm form. Oh, and I really love my shoes. REALLY.
Personal Thoughts:
Got cheese? :D And fun fact - my eyes really are those two different colors. Something I usually try to mask with other costumes. But for Charlotte, heterochromia just looks really cool!
