Construction Details:

RAWR! This is my old dinosaur Halloween costume made about 1000x awesomer. I stitched the vinyl collar and made the "Wexter" name tag out of a balsa wood circle and some gold leaf paint. The dinosaur cop badge was augmented with foamie (odd, the craft store didn't sell a dinosaur with machine gun arms), and the oversized sunglasses are also foamie.

The costume itself is two green hoodies, one was sacrificed to become the tail and hands (not seen here, since MACHINE GUNS). The teeth are felt stitched onto the hood opening, and the eyes are a styrofoam ball that was cut in half, sewn / glued on, with felt pupils. My husband, Agent Bishie on ACE, made the gun arms. They're mostly cardboard, spray paint, glue, and sheer delight.

Personal Thoughts:

You know how you're all sitting around, talking about something you like, and someone says "let's cosplay that", so you say the most ridiculous thing, like "I want to be the dinosaur with machine gun arms?" Yeah. That was it.

The most awesome Axe Cops that I rolled with are Maria and Ray, as well as my husband the aforementioned Agent Bishie. This was so much fun to wear around PAX East, we were stopped for photos, mostly of head-chopping. A lot of people thought I was Dinosaur Cop, which is understandable, but alas, I was Wexter, and that was cooler.
