Construction Details:

The pole of the spear was to be originally used as the staff of Lujei (Grim Grimmoire) But ended up being sacrificed to make this prop. It was originally a much lighter colour that was stained to achieve the dark colour. The spear head is made out of a pine wood which was then painted with a texture metallic paint.

Personal Thoughts:

This was thrown together in basically one night. Although we had it half finished for awhile as we couldn't decide if we wanted to just paint the wood or try to cast the spearhead out of resin. Sadly pictures don't do this justice. It looks much better in person where you can really see the texture of it. This spear was made as a gift to a friend of ours, who is cosplaying Kamakiri
