Construction Details:

Kiki made me do it! She wanted a Gil to go with her Oz and practically pleaded with me to do this cosplay. Not that I might cause I do like Gil.

The shirt is made of a white cotton and a modified pattern. I made the hem a little longer and added the cuffs on the sleeves. The gold "clasps" are actually gold vinyl bias tape cut then sewn together and to the shirt. It's held closed by 4 large snaps.

The pants are nothing special, just your average black pants in black twill. This is the...3rd pair of black pants I've made.

The jacket is also made of black twill and lined. I used silver vinyl for the arrows and silvery gray blanket binding for all of the trim. Belt buckles were used for the back danglies and they clink together everytime I move. The jacket was a men's pirate captain pattern that I added darts to for a bit of shape and to make the bottom more flowy. My only beef with the whole thing is the trim seems a little wide and the jacket a bit short.

I made the ugly hat; this is ugly hat #3 I've made. It was made of black twill and double sided Peltex. The brim flips in weird ways. I seem to have grasped how to make the top portion but how to make a decent brim seems to escape me.

First worn in Beaufort, SC to celebrate mine and Kiki's birthdays.
