I've been shooting cosplayers and anime conventions since 1998. I started out using disposable cameras and FSLRs. I purchased my first digital camera in 2001 and moved up to a DSLR in 2004. None of my photos from the pre-DSLR days exist online anymore. It's amazing to see how much cosplay photography has evolved from when I started. There aren't a lot of photographers still active from the days when I started out. Sometimes, I'm still surprised that I'm still as active as I am today at cosplay photography.
