Construction Details:

Torso piece/shoulder pieces: I had quite a bit of help with this, considering I hadn't worked with the material before and was worried about messing it up, but the armor pieces are constructed out of EVA foam sheets that were heat-molded to me and placed accordingly by myself.
Belt piece: an already existing stretch belt layered with silver vinyl strips. Chest dial and heart chamber is sheets of thin craft foam stacked, covered with a reflective silver paper I'd found. Fabric was used for the heart and an LED is encased inside.
Neckpiece: t-shirt collar with individually painted, miscellaneous shapes of craft foam glued into a pattern. Screws were twisted into it for a more robotic look.

Full costume took an estimated two weeks to complete!

Personal Thoughts:

Mettaton is such an enjoyable character to portray at conventions. His flamboyant personality and show-stopper outlook makes him very fun and easy to portray, and the costume itself was a blast to make! He's easily become one of my favorite cosplays to bring!

Styling Notes

The wig came in wonderful condition for Mettaton already. A little snipping and hairspray was enough to get the perfect style for him. I use G??t2B Freeze Spray.
