Cosplayer Envel > Costume of Sailor Moon from Sailor Moon
About this Costume
- Construction Details:
For years I have dreamed of being a part of a complete set of Sailor Senshi. For years I have watched friends and friends of friends participate in groups and I've seen the love and fun that all of them have in their photos and I always though, "Man, I wish that were me..." I never thought I would be able to be a part of my dream cosplay group... And I especially never dreamed it would be for part of such a rare and amazing event! My friends and I received the honor of helping with the VIZ events during Anime Expo 2014, helping with the Sailor Moon stamp rally, escorting the 2014 dub cast during their panels and autograph sessions, and getting to be a part of so many amazing events and opportunities! It is no exaggeration to say I have never laughed and cried (happy tears!) so much during the course of one weekend. This entire experience from making the costume through the event has been a dream come true.
My wig is the same wig I used for my Eternal Sailor Moon with slight alterations. I have taken in the Arda buns to be smaller and replaced the odango shields.
The fuku pattern is an altered version of Zan's pattern, which she sells on her website. The bows were made by Sparkle Pipsi, and the broach is made by Zan (I super recommend her Sailor Moon broaches, I really love mine!)
The glove rolls and skirt were made according to Sparkle Pipsi, Daydreamer Nessa, and NyuNyu's instructions and patterns. The fabrics for mine are all casa satin.
The boots are Gogo boots that I cut and put a vinyl V onto the top. The choker is casa satin and the moons on the choker and boots are all metal buttons that I cemented into place. The earrings were purchased on Etsy from:
Thank you so much to everyone in this group and thank you so much to VIZ and ACP for helping to make this event so amazing for a series that has touched us all so deeply!
