Construction Details:

This one, made pretty much just to wear with Hilary, was ridiculous. Trying to do the quilting myself (not something I recommend doing unless you have the right fabric and lots of practice) wasn't quite "technical" enough, so I embroidered falling stars all over the coat with metallic thread (total blast to use, really.) and the same colors of the coat. So basically the detail is invisible. But I like it. I think it makes the costume even fruitier (or Howl-esque... same thing).
When I re-wore this with Aria at ALA, I replaced the gold trim everywhere but the cuffs with matching trim that I sewed by hand. It makes a huge difference and I love how it lays now.

Howl is such a fruit.
