About this Costume
- Construction Details:
-
Bodice and peplum were made using the Disney Simplicity pattern, and the skirt and sleeves are from Butterick, since it had the guodets in it like in the movie. Shoes are the same style as my Jaina shoes, and tiara is a modified buckram hat covered in felt then 4 way stretch spandex. Dress is made out of duchess and casa satin (got the last of the powder and cornflower blue!) while the sleeves are an unknown stretch knit that's been at the bottom of my bin for a few years.
Bodice is fully boned with spiral steel boning and laces up the back, and lined with a heavyweight denim in the center and cotton on the very inside. Under the dress are 2 petticoats that I bought, a small 2 hoop and then a super fluffy crinoline on top. Aurora doesn't seem to have a full 4 hoop petticoat under her gown at the end, but there is some shape to it.

- Styling Notes
- Trimmed the bangs and curled, brushed out the length to keep it wavy.
