About this Costume
Construction Details:
The robe is based on a traditional kimono pattern with applique patterns. Each collar is a separate piece. The obi is full-length and lined with interfacing to give it it's stiffness. The tabi socks are sewn from an old wool coat and lined with an old t-shirt. The geta are each made out of three pieces of poplar wood screwed together and then finished. The ears are from Wootchi and the teeth are small Scarecrows.
Personal Thoughts:
This is the most involved cosplay I've ever done but I love it to death! I'm still not 100% satisfied with it but I like that it evolves along with my skills.
