Construction Details:

Kimono top was made from a heavyweight (yet surprisingly soft!) cotton blend with a mock white collar underneath to simulate the undershirt. Hakama pants were purchased from a martial arts store in Manhattan. Tabi and waraji were also purchased. The wig was a bob that I razor-cut and hand colored, and I made the little tails with hair extensions and pony beads. I also made the earrings.

Personal Thoughts:

So if you've ever seen photos of that really amazing Bleach group at AX '05, which is sorely missing an Isane, that was supposed to be me. Derp. Circumstances out of my control forced me to miss the con the night I was meant to leave, but I ended up getting to wear this a lot over the following year and gained a lot of respect for the character through wearing it.
