About this Costume
- Construction Details:
- The black collar was patterned, cut, trimmed with bias tape, and fit to an existing black turtleneck. The bows on the front as well as the back are reenforced with wire to retain their shape and made from a cotton bottom weight fabric. The bodice was draped on a form, then patterned and sewn by myself. The black details are bias tape sewn onto the garment. The collar is a cotton I found at a garage sale (about 7 yards of it, such a great find) and the collar was patterned and attached with a facing. I'm really proud of that color, because I feel it's very true to the anime and a lot of official art.
The skirt is a simple pleated skirt with a zipper in the back. The skirt is two-tiered, with the bottom tier being the white underskirt. The shoes were inserted into the tights with a hole cut for the hell then sealed and covered in felt to keep the tights from being damaged by walking. They were then pulled over a custom form I made of my leg and painted. I am wearing three pairs of tights to make sure they are completely black and opaque.
- Personal Thoughts:
- This is one of my newest cosplays and one of the ones i'm most proud of. After taking classes on pattern making this is my first time using it on a cosplay.

- Styling Notes
- This wig was very simple to style. I used hot water to straighten out the few kinks in it left by the shipping, then cut the bangs to the length they needed to be.
