Construction Details:

All parts of the outfit that required sewing were done by me. I originally planned to have this for AX '13 but when I heard that ACP was looking for Tales of Xillia cosplayers for a Wondercon event... I totally jumped on the opportunity. I wasn't able to start on the outfit until after finals which ended the week before Wondercon. During the spring break week I juggled studying, sewing, and general derping around up until the last moment but I think I did alright with what resources I had available.

I used Heat'n Bond for a lot of the smaller details i.e. the neck collar and then shoes, but I decided to go the sewing-together-puzzle-pieces route for the dress which took up such a huge chunk of my time that I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to finish the prop in time. All seemed to be well by the time I had the finishing touches, and I hope to rewear this again (with minor adjustments) to AX!

The giant Q-tip weapon (lol) is a wooden dowel with Paperclay added to the ends. It was a simple prop in the long run but I interrogated a lot of friends for advice so I'm really thankful to them (and ihitoq for starting off one end of the Q-tip) for expanding my crafting knowledge.

Personal Thoughts:

This was so much fun to wear!! Leia as a character is a lot of fun to emulate and I really liked her interactions with the other characters in the game. I especially had a lot of fun volunteering at the Namco Bandai booth and meeting Hideo Baba!

Styling Notes

Trimmed the bangs a bit to make them less blunt. I went with a caramel brown color instead of a light blonde color that some pictures depict her with. Then again I've seen pictures of her hair looking more golden so... IDEK anymore LOL I'll see if I can remedy this soon...
