Cosplayer Fire-Raising > Costume of Saruhiko Fushimi from K / K Project
About this Costume
- Construction Details:
- The vest and coat were both handmade using modified Simplicity pattern 2895, the shirt was bought from Goodwill and the collar was modified.
It was sort of difficult deciding on the exact colours for the coat and vest because of the ever-changing colour filters used on the show. I decided to go with a slightly more steel-blue colour for the vest instead of gray. I also went with a dark purple for the coat accents instead of a blue since it is more... accentier? That is not a word. IT IS NOW.
I used heavy-weight interfacing along the front edges of the coat to give it a more open flow-y look.
- Personal Thoughts:
- This was my first time making a vest and coat from scratch, using actual patterns and the first time testing out my new sewing machine (as opposed to the one from 1950 I usually sew on) and I'm quite pleased with the results!
As for Fushimi, he's my favourite hipster psychopath.
- Wig Review
- This is my favourite wig. End of story.
