Construction Details:

The top was made from a sweater where I just cropped it and cut off the sleeves. The tie was made from scratch from a men's tie pattern, then I just tied it to be as short as I wanted then safety pinned the rest so you couldn't see it. The white on the pants is ribbon hot-glued on. For the hat, I used a witches hat pattern and altered it. I made the brim shorter in the front and back and made the sides more oval. I shortened the top of the hat (though it's still a little too tall) and even hot-glued the top point down to make it shorter still. The blue is fabric hand sewn on there and the white is ribbon hot-glued on, the same as on the jeans. I also put wire in the edge of the brim and stiff interfacing to make it stand up the way it does.

Personal Thoughts:

first time I bared my midriff for a costume. I'd lost some weight and felt more comfortable with it.
