Construction Details:

Everything was pretty simple. I altered a basic jacket pattern for the top and then added the bias tape (first time doing metered corners Oooooo so fancy). The kimono's construction didn't take long... however I spent approx. 25 hours painting.... never... again. Major kudos to anyone who paints their costumes.

Personal Thoughts:

It took me literally about 4 years to get into this series. I tried so hard because a few friends loved it so much. I re-watched the first episode about 10 times to no avail; however, once I pushed through and made it a few more episodes in I was hooked. I started laughing at the dumbest things and crying at everything else. One of the factors that I kept holding onto while struggling to get into the series was how much FUN Gintama cosplayers seemed to have.
