Construction Details:: Wig was two cheapo butt-length wigs in two shades of blue cannibalizing one another. Makeup was done with the Coastal Scents 88 color palette, cyan glitter eyeliner pencil by Hard Candy, blue glitter gel by NYX and bright pink lipgloss by MAC. Top was holographic fuchsia spandex that doesn't breath at all, skirt was sparkly purple fabric sewn into a tube. Sparkly fishnets from Forever21, shoes by Pleaser, inflatable blue guitar from Amazon.

Confession time: I have never seen the Jem cartoon before, but I was invited to LivingDeadGirl's Jem group so naturally I picked Aja. It was mad fun running around in a group in the TACKIEST FABRIC EVAR and HUGE TEASED 80'S HAIR, and a few people came up to me to say how happy they are that an actual Asian girl is cosplaying Aja.

Styling Notes: Two wigs were used to make one super-wig. The primary blue one was cut apart and each individual weft was sewn by hand into the light blue wig. Choppy layers were then cut into the wig, as well as blunt bangs and hime-cut cheek sections. Wig was teased into a huge puff at the con before wearing.
