About this Costume
- Construction Details:
- The tulle was machine stitched in layers onto a black under skirt. I patterned the dress around the skirt and it was my first time trying to drape a pattern. Not so good at it, but it was a good first try. Dress is satin, but the skirt under it that the tulle is stitched to is sateen. I wanted to make it two parts in case I ever wanted to remake the top dress. The trim was my added touch. Its purple and I hand beaded some green beads that have a purple sheen to the trim so it wasn't just flat purple.
The shawl is a weird destaturated green that I wasn't expecting to find. I made it curved and in sections like a normal fur shawl would be and folded it in half to give it the body of the design. The circle on the dress was a Vogue discounted accessory that I painted with the same nail polish I painted my nails with.
For the makeup I used the tutorial here:
I specifically liked this tutorial because of the purple on the bottom of the eye. Reminded me of both science chemicals and Bruce's ripped pants :D
The shoes were the last pair from UrbanOG.com
- Personal Thoughts:
- I love ToughTink's (on Tumblr) designs and I've always been a Hulk girl. One cause my mom said I was born into this world angry and stubborn and two because Bruce Banner is awesome and deserves so much love. Three, he's green and purple. And I love green and purple.
- Styling Notes
- I literally took this lovely wig out of the bag, teased it a bit with a brush and pinned it down where I wanted to on my head.
- Wig Review
- OMG! I love black hair and I love curls, SOOO I love this wig. I need to find something else to wear it with... either that or just wear it for no reason
