About this Costume
- Construction Details:
- What is this I don't even.
The dress is made of $1/yard stretch knit I found in my local fabric warehouse and was the subject of much cursing for the following weeks. Used and modified sleeves from Butterick 5522 and added a lining since I have no idea what I am doing with stretch knit. The white underskirt is just a slip from Target that I attached a big ol' ruffle to because Touhou.
The trim is ribbon + rick rack hand stitched together, between that and the collar I watched Seasons 1-3 of Breaking Bad while sitting on the couch hand sewing this thing because stretch knit. The ears I free formed and stuffed with Polyfill and hot glued to a hair clip and called it a day. The wig is a bit long, but it'll get trimmed before Katsucon. Nothing was really hard, just very very time consuming.
Thigh highs, some black studded bracelets and a choker, ditching the skirt and tossing on awesome shades turns me into the Symposium of Post-Mysticism edition m/
Also all costumes are made superior by the addition of Fate/Zero command seals JUST SAYIN'
