About this Costume
Construction Details:
The costume is made of a wine red poly-cotton mix, and the skirt is made of the same material, but in a pink colour. The ruffles are white muslin, I think?? The black waist piece is a thick canvas-like material, along with the bow. The trim is a white...squiggly...thing.

The soul gem is hand-casted with epoxy resin! The casing for it is sculpey spraypainted gold.
The shoes are black boots I painted (first with red shoe paint, then with acrylic). The first time they were worn, they were chipping-- which is why I decided to repaint using acrylic. It's held up well since then!

The costume took probably about three weeks to complete, and that does include pattern-making and shopping!!

Personal Thoughts:
Kyoko Sakura from Madoka Magica! I was quite taken with her when I she first appeared in the anime, and then I decided, hell, why not. I can cosplay her. So here I am, cosplaying one of my favourite characters!

This cosplay has been positively responded to, which might be why I wear it so often (well, it's also very comfy...)!
