Construction Details:

The shirt is modified, and I made the yellow skirt and the sparkly overskirt. I made the corset from scratch, but it's not a waist-slimming one (I don't have that kind of skill...). The brown underskirt I already had. Same with the stockings. I styled the wig, modified the boots and gloves, made the hat and Soul Gem and hairpiece, and...Yep, that's pretty much it. Obviously I'm just a beginner at cosplay.

Personal Thoughts:

I LOVE Madoka Magica, and Mami is actually one of my least favorite characters. I don't dislike her, but I don't really like her, either. But, since I look the most like her out of any other Madoka character and she has an epic outfit, I decided to cosplay her. I may redo this costume in the future.

Styling Notes

I bought a base wig and a weft, then I cut the weft in half so I'd have two. I covered it completely in Got2b gel and wrapped it around a plastic folder that had been taped into a cone shape. I let it dry, sprayed tons of Got2b freeze spray on it, and then let that dry. Then I sewed the wefts to the wig.

Wig Review

EpicCosplay wigs are excellent, but a) they have a shine to them (which I like, but some people may not) and b) their wigs are VERY vibrant, so if you want a natural-looking wig, these may not be the best choice.
