Construction Details:

The main pink fabric was bought from Fabrics R Us in San Jose. I wanted to make sure I got a muted, dark pink since I've seen too many bright Fuus >_>. The obi is made of fabric swapped dark maroon bridal satin, the obi tie is pink broadcloth I had, the collar is a dark reddish bridal satin.

The hair sticks are wooden skewers that I stuck Model Magic balls on, painted red, and glued some little diamond pieces to the top..

The wig is a Jeannie from Arda Wigs.

Geta are bought from San Francisco's Japantown from "Neat Asian Things" with a lot of help from Sean :D

The contacts are the Bambi Queen Chocolate Brown.

The "inner kimono" is completely fake, I used light pink bridal satin to make a fake collar, a underskirt, and made the sleeves of the kimono out of two layers, the outer pink, and the inner light pink satin.

The flowers were a pain, I bought this glittered satin and cut out petals from it, heat n bonded the petals on, and went a step further an used a buttonhole stitch on my sewing machine to do a semi satin stitch around ever flower petal. X_X It was so worth it though, the look is really cool and the heat n bonded fabric will stay forever! I got a lot of satin stitching experience from all those petals and round parts.

This costume is seriously comfy, and I'm super happy that people recognize Samurai Champloo. I consider Champloo a timeless anime with a lovely set of characters.

Personal Thoughts:

KIMONO ARE SO COMFORTABLE.

I wracked my head trying to learn from tutorials on how to make a kimono. Now that I've made one, I just want to make more and more and wear them forever.

Fuu fits me quite well. Hungry, active, impatient, derpy. :D

So glad that Sadato did Jin, and State_Alchemist did Mugen. Our group was so fun!

Styling Notes

Bwahhhhh had to cut this up for Fuu. Ponytail wasn't long enough, but I couldn't figure out a way to use the clip on right so I just hairsprayed the ponytail that I tied in a funny way. The wig feels funny to me since it exposes my forehead X_x
