Construction Details:

This costume was super fun to make and wear! Tackling the "stained glass" border was really fun! I ended up using gold vinyl that I cut the designs out of and overlaying that on top of a batik that I had covered in clear iron on vinyl to give it the glassy effect. The fabric for the dress was given to me by a friend who was planning on making this costume too and she happened to have extra! The belt and bow were made with dupioni silk that I dyed. That was definitely an adventure! This was also my first time making my own ponytail wig and I used Hezachan's tutorial for that! The headpiece was made from a wire base and then covered in paperclay. I then spray painted it with a textured pain to make it look more like stone. The gem was resin cast.
