Construction Details:

I used two differently hued blue polyester/cotton blends for the base of the costume. the details were done with either bias tape, felt, or puff paint and they were attached with heat-n-bond and then reinforced with stitching. he 'gold' on the arm guards and belt is foamboard.

the back was a huge mess. when I was first gathering together reference images, I didn't think to look for any from behind and then after I had already put most of it together I realized that there was a whoooole other adventure happenin' on the back, so I had to frankenstein that together. it was super frustrating, and there were a couple times when I just wanted to redo the entire top. but I powered through it and it came out semi-decent. :D

oh and hooray for my first ever boot covers not being a total disaster!

Personal Thoughts:

first cosplay in years! I've been wanting to make this costume since I played the game like 4 years ago, so it was way overdue. also, first time making boot covers! they are held together by hot glue and sheer willpower.
