Cosplayer Heza > Costume of Hatsune Miku from Vocaloid 2
About this Costume
- Construction Details:
- I used a Simplicity 5561 pattern for the bodice. It was originally a dress, and I cut the pattern to be waist length. Added a white strip of casa satin (with lace attached to it) to the waist area. I patterned a circle skirt, and hand pleated it to the bodice. Added sequence trim to the end of the skirt.
- Personal Thoughts:
- My good friend Nova and I had a plan to do these costumes since ’11 Fanime. We both really appreciate Vocaloid and wanted to do Magnet justice! We based our designs on the released album cover of ‘Magnet’, released in 2010? Or 2011?... I believe. I spent countless hours trying to find the right type of fabric for her and I. I settled on a suiting sold at Joann Fabrics and shipped it to her. I was so excited to be wearing it with her. It feels good to make a (cosplay) plan with a friend and it follow through. Thank you so much to my fiance Rylan, who stayed up all night before our flight out to Seattle working on our headphones. You're such a doll, I love you!
