Construction Details:

Costume satins to the rescue! I had a limited budget so I had to be super thrifty. Everything is costume satin except for the wide trim on the outer robe and on the obi, I splurged on some brocade. The head dress I am proud of because everything (except the paint) came from the dollar store!!! Styrofoam balls coated in styro-coat and then metallic acrylic paint. All wired together and wired to a head band. Extra fabric for the braid and beads draped and glued down.

Personal Thoughts:

This is kinda a big deal for me. Anime Boston 2012 marks it's 10th anniversary as a convention and for me as a cosplayer. I really wanted to remake my first cosplay to mark the occasion. I didn't get it 100% finished in time for AB but I will finish it in time for the next con!!

Styling Notes

I pulled some of the sides up into a half tail and clipped in place.

Wig Review

I have used Arda before and like them, but I was disappointed with this wig. The wig shown(http://arda-wigs.com/view/items/candystriper%20blue%20danube.jpg) Was a lot lighter than the one I got. Also the white on top of this one was not well blended- it looks like a bad 90's chucking job. Luckily the head dress covers it.
