About this Costume
- Construction Details:
-
Skirt is made from a combination of a hoop skirt, petticoat, and gatherered circle skirt with an additional ruffle added to the bottom.
The 'petals' on the skirt were a circle skirt and I cut the petals but then added a seam that took out about .5" from the widest point of each petal (except in the front, for visual reasons) in order to make it lie flat.
The rose on the bow is made from Sukerukun petal by petal and then hot glued to a powerful small flashlight. The bow itself is made from PVC pipe, duct tape, milky piping & elmer's glue--roughly following a tutorial for flexible armor. - Personal Thoughts:
- BY FAR the hardest costume I have ever made. But also the one I'm most proud of.
Wig Details
- Styling Notes
- just layered the bangs and pigtails a bit, and I usually fluff out the pigtails before pictures, etc.
- Wig Review
- Chibi's are hard to get right, but look awesome when you do. :D
