Construction Details:: RUFFLES OMG. The shirt is based off the top of my Meruhen Maid iDOLM@STER costume, patterned by babysnowleopard; I took it and turned it into a collared shirt. The skirt is a double-my-waist circle skirt gathered to a waistband; the ruffle at the bottom originally measured over 400 inches! The red fabric is all hand-made trim (yeah, I wasn't even sane enough to just use ribbon, I had to turn a tube THAT LONG). My ruffler foot really got a workout on this one! The wings are made of craft foam, wire, hot glue, and paint (seriously!), and they can be easily detached and flap when I walk.
Personal Thoughts:: I really love the Scarlet Devil Mansion crew, and I had a ridiculous amount of pink satin. I originally planned on finishing this for the San Francisco Cherry Blossom Festival, but then I realized that there was a shot I could finish it in time for Sakuracon, so I did. There's still a few problems to work out, but all in all, I'm pretty happy with this!
