About this Costume
Construction Details:
Bodysuit is a 4 way stretch spandex left over from the last Mars fuku I made. Sleeve & glove rolls are cording covered in casa satin sleeves. Sleeves are gathered sheer lined in crinoline to help them keep their shape (I kept calling them linebacker sleeves). Top skirt, collar & front bow are casa satin. Skirt is a circle skirt that is hand pleated & the waistband is a combination of casa, spandex & ribbon. Bottom skirt is hand pleated chiffon. Back bow is sheer & crinoline, like the sleeves, with a ribbon for the tails. Tiara is from Catzia, but I replaced the star with a much smaller resin one since the eternal tiara's are so thin. Earrings are resin stars. Choker, bow star & "crotch star" were cast in resin by BeckyTaka for the group. We all coordinated our boots to match. Pleaser 721 I believe? They were having a SHOE SALE
Personal Thoughts:
I think everyone in this group learned the hard way that Naoko is NOT consistent in her art... at ALL. Fukus aren't the easiest things in the world to sew, especially the eternal ones when you're coordinating with a large group, but after making this one & the one for Super Sailor Mars, I feel pretty confident about the process. LOTS of love to BeckyTaka for having me over so often so we could sew these together
