Construction Details:

I patterned all pieces of this costume from scratch- hood, tunic, pants, and boot covers. I stenciled and painted the light symbol on the shirt. These are the first butterfly wings I've ever attempted, and I think it went fairly well. I made a wire frame which i stretched powernet around. The base of the wings had a wire "handle" of sorts that inserted to two holes in the back of my shirt. They wound up being a little floppy in the wind, but I really like them. Higher gauge wire could remedy that c: My horns are a foam base coated in air dry clay and mod podge. They are attached via snaps to a piece of felt on my wig cap. It's a really comfortable and seamless method that I like!

Spiderbitch! I love Vriska, she's such a whirlwind of a character *u* and making this costume was such a pleasure! Sweet pajamas with wings! I'm sure I'll be wearing this one again and again.
