Construction Details:

I used a Butterick dress pattern and free-handed the bag and the belt. The pin!sword was made by ripping off the hilt to an iparty sword and attaching a model magic ball to the top. Boots bought locally.

Personal Thoughts:

I used to read "The Borrowers" when I was little, and I was so excited when I learned Studio Ghibli was producing a film based on the book. I decided to cosplay Arrietty when I found out that the film would be released in the US. Arrietty actually turned out to be my favorite Ghibli heroine so this worked out well. I had an "aha" moment during the movie when I saw how the bag closed, so I'll be fixing that in the future.

Styling Notes

I put the wig into a low ponytail, pulled it straight up, and then clipped the ponytail at its mid-way point at the top of my head. I let the other half of the hair fall over the top, creating my "short" ponytail.
