Construction Details:: ALL OF THE THINGS.

This was my first time working with HEAT N BOND (lol yes I know, I'm such a newbie XD), and it was totally exciting. I made sure to satin stitch everything and layered three types of flowers with the heatnbond and then beaded over it. The sleeves I gradient dyed from dark maroon/black to red anddd stuff. There are three real layers of the umm I guess you'd call it a kimono, and I worked really hard to make them look good. ;A; I still suck at making things so I was kinda excited when it looked decent on me ahhhh

the head piece is foamboard and craftfoam, and then the flowery head piece is all craftfoam. I painted each petal individually before attaching it to the base and then made light up gold hair roses to match. The obi is fluffy. Has flowers handsewn into the top. The obi is silk dupoloni or however you spell it and I satin stitched the gold onto the center, and the other piping is actually el wire :D
Personal Thoughts:: Made this for the WCS 2012 prelims. We figured this series was perfect for WCS because its basically COSPLAY BATTLES and what else is WCS but a big, epic, friendly cosplay battle? 8D

sadly, we couldn't compete in the end because of some ill misfortunes, but that's okay, I learned a ton about making stuff and skits and I'm super excite to enter again next year for reals ;A;
