About this Costume
- Construction Details:
- Rianna's wig was made from a blonde base wig and wefts that I dyed to be more of a warm yellow shade. I also sharpie colored the part to look a little more natural. The buns were remade twice, because I kept making them way too huge. The bun wraps were made of black wet look spandex. The vest, butt flap, and puff sleeves were made from garment weight stretch pleather. The color is actually off-white, but photos can't seem to capture that subtlety. Josh did nearly all of the embellishment on this costume for me. He spent probaby 20 hours alone hand sewing all the piping and trim onto the jacket. Thank you Josh! He also made my elbow guard, which I think looks very awesome. The black lower sleeves were made from matte black vinyl, and the gloves of wet look spandex and piping. The leggings were also made out of wet look spandex, and have a seam down the middle of each leg, which I topstitched to replicate the character art. Again, a detail that cameras don't like to capture. The leggings were elongated, and snaps were added to the bottom hem so that they could snap into the shoes. The shoes were painted, and details were done in craft foam.
- Personal Thoughts:
- Magna Carta wasn't my favorite game ever, but the character designs were really awesome and memorable. I really loved this costume because it was really comfortable despite having so many bits and pieces. :3
