Construction Details:

This costume was a collaborative effort between me and my husbando. He made all of the armor; I painted it. I patterned and sewed all the fabric elements; he embroidered them. Ivy was a lot of work, but it turned out to be one of my favorite costumes. The hat was especially fun, made of green foam, upholstery fabric, piping, and netting. I made the pattern from scratch and miraculously it turned out right the first time! I lucked out and was given a plastic mannequin bust, which I cut up to use as a base for the chest armor. Thank god for mannequin boobs, because I would not have had Ivy's bosom otherwise.

Personal Thoughts:

Ivy was one of my favorites in Soul Calibur III so I was super stoked to make her costume. I really hope there is more SoulCal in my cosplaying future!
