Construction Details:

Making this costume wasn't really a challenge, but finding the right materials was! I ended up buying a women's size 2X dress from the thrift store and cutting it up, since I just couldn't find that dark teal/green material anywhere. Her shirt was made by modifying a commercial pattern. I made the puff sleeves MUCH larger, and the neckline lower. I also sewed a bra in to attempt Ruby's boobage. The shoes were purchased, modified, and painted.

Personal Thoughts:

Honestly, I love Ruby but I kind of hated wearing this costume. It's not that flattering and kind of uncomfortable. I was happy to retire it.

Styling Notes

I used hair glue and a blowdrier to get Ruby's floofy front bang. I also decided to sew the hair bow into the wig so it wouldn't move around while I was wearing it. I also decided to use a dark gray sharpie to color the roots of Ruby's hair so that it would look more like the in-game model.
