About this Costume
- Construction Details:
Kayla and I made our costumes together, so the end result is definitely a team effort. I drafted all the modifications to the sweaters, picked out the fabric for our skirts, and made our bows. Kayla did a lot of the sewing while I drafted. The shirts are mock pieces worn underneath the sweaters and over go to about our chests. the bows are made of red casa satin, and attached to a pin backing. The sweaters are made of cream ponte, trimmed in bias tape. The cuffs are made of white satin, trimmed in red bias tape, and the cuffs and bottom of the sweater were hand-stitched in place, using this absolutely PERFECT little triangle-shaped embroidered trim. The skirt fabric is a high quality quilters cotton, box pleated.
- Personal Thoughts:
- I was very pudgey when we first wore these, and I'm glad that I was able to look better when I wore it again. Overall, I'm pleased with this costume, and love wearing it.
- Styling Notes
- I bought two wigs, and sewed them together to create the thickness.
