About this Costume
- Construction Details:
- Oh man, I always forget how much WORK I put into this costume. All the flowers and patterns on this costume were hand-painted and all of the beads were made from Fimo clay and individually baked. I also made my own shoes (first time!) and hand-sewed all the white piping along the edges. The hairsticks were also made by me; the forked one had to be carved from a plain sheet of plastic. The first wig I bought for this costume was AWFUL, but I bought a new one later on and it worked out much better. :D
- Personal Thoughts:
- Someone dared me to make this for Katsucon when I was invited into a group for a series I can't stand (Naruto), and I said that the only nice designs were from this specific piece of artwork. So I chopped up Scarlet and made this in about a month, and to this day it's some of the hardest work I've ever put into a costume. And I never even ended up making it to the group. Oh well.
