Construction Details:

Itty bitty circle skirt and petticoat. The jacket has an invisible zipper up the back and was my first time seriously altering a pattern. The white panel isn't 100% accurate, which I didn't notice until months after I had worn the costume, but it doesn't bother me enough to go back and change it. I spent days and weeks searching for a long white wig with bangs online and had to settle on one with a center part, because costume resources were THAT limited back in 2005. Joe's mom Lenore (a professional hairdresser) put the wig into the two french braids and I hand-sewed the ends to the nape of the neck. This wig is now covered in paint and blood and used for The Witch.

Personal Thoughts:

HELL YEAH I love me some Shadow Hearts. I got hooked on this game and Koudelka (it's predecessor) back in high school and wanted Alice's costume before I even knew what cosplaying WAS. So when Covenant came out in '04 and suddenly everyone became an SH fan overnight, I decided to make this for Katsucon 11 with my eternal love Icequeenkitty as Karin. This is another costume I will never have the heart to sell, as it was my grandmother's favorite of mine and was made the same year she passed away.
