About this Costume
Construction Details:
The wig is a human hair wig dyed and styled by Diana Shepherd. The costume was constructed primarily by myself. The shirt a rather old and baggy sweater I found at Goodwill. The pants made from scratch with a ribbed lyvra, trimmed in black pleather stripping. Belt purchased from Target. Shoes borrowed from my roomie. The suspenders were the most challenging part, taking several days to construct. I used JiaJem's tutorial for the basis, but opted to go with a different Smooth-On product rather than Dragon Skin. Using her pattern as reference, I drafted my own based on my measurements, and used all the same materials Jia suggested to construct the "mold." I'm really proud of this, because I made the suspenders (for the most part) on my own, with a lot of supervision from a friend. This is one of my favorite costumes to wear, ever, and people always comment about how uncomfortable it looks. It's not. It's awesome. And always great to wear in a Georgia summer!
