About this Costume
Construction Details:
While yet another simple costume, there's one thing about it that is the most deceivingly difficult. It was impossible to find any material for this costume that was the correct shade of green. XD Every single piece of this costume was a custom color created by me. The only things I didn't dye or paint was the belt buckle and the lining of the tunic. XD; The hardest part was dyeing many different materials to match basically the same two shades of green.

New things I learned for this costume was wig dyeing! This was the first wig I ever dyed, and it took two tries to get it right. ^ ^; This was also my first time patterning and sewing shorts. The part I'm most proud of is that I didn't need to do a lot of tailoring afterward. I sewed the shorts, put them on, and they fit me lol.

The headband was just one I bought from a store and covered it in the same fabric as the tunic, but dyed to match the belt, boots, and turtleneck. The turtleneck was one I bought from Chadwick's, and was originally ivory. The belt and boots are made from 100% leather, the bases of the boots stolen from some black go-gos I got from a thrift store.

The Ocarina I made from Sculpey III, and although it does play some notes, it doesn't play in tune. It was a pleasant surprise to me that it played at all though! XD I've since made myself a new ocarina that does play in tune. =)
Personal Thoughts:
Saria is easily my most loved character from OoT aside from Young Princess Zelda and Young Link. :3 She's so small and adorable but still has the wisdom and demeanor of a true sage. Also, she's so GREEEEN!! XD
