Construction Details:

Leotard made out of stretch suede which bled all over my white shirt something FIERCE. It might have passed for blood from battle where it not totally pink. Top is a double-knit- had to make it myself since no turtle neck pleased me. Sword was commissioned... I don't recall the commissioner's name because it was purchased by my Adam in exchange for making his costume.

Personal Thoughts:

She-ra was technically my first magical girl series, so although I attribute Sailor Moon as my gateway drug to anime, She-ra is where my love of action cartoons comes from. I'd wanted to pay homage to it for YEARS as She-ra, but I kept putting off the costume again and again because I wasn't sure how I wanted to do it... Then Jerry expressed interest in doing Prince Adam, and I knew I had found the perfect plan for honoring the first show that ever made me fangirl (at age 5!).
