Construction Details:

The design was a simple top and skirt. It totally slipped my mind that I needed brown thread, so I tried invisible thread instead, it worked well other than the fact it felt slipperier. I was able to borrow the machine long enough to piece together the important parts and hem. The separate collar and the shirt pockets were hand-sewn (pretty much the day of orz)

I only brought the wig and gloves from NY. The shoes and nifty tie were bought during shopping trips at East Underground Mall and Danshui Night Market, respectively. All other accessories were borrowed from family members~

Personal Thoughts:

Never thought Italy would be the one I’d cosplay Nyotalia for ohohoho~! It was definitely an unforgettable experience making a costume outside my turf (shopping for materials at new places, borrowing sewing machine, dodging curious relatives) and cosplaying for the first time in Taiwan!

We had a shoot the day before I left for NY. Luckily, it was near my grandparent’s place –and the restaurant we went to was very classy with beautiful lamps and mosaic windows/walls/tables. Met so many new people :> Mucho thanks to Angela for inviting me and helping me out I’d be so clueless otherwise!

I’ve discovered it is impossible for me to smile and wink at the same time xD;

Styling Notes

I trimmed the side bangs of the wig while still keeping the curly parts. The back was clasped into a high ponytail by folding it back and holding it with a wide tooth comb.
