Construction Details:: This dress took FOREVER. It's 13 yards of duchess satin. The pleats are sewn on top of a fully done skirt. Every hem (pleats, skirt) is a rolled hem. Lace was hand dyed. Trim on top of the lace was satin sewn into a tube, gathered, then pleated and attached by hand. All the pleats were attached by hand as well as the lace. The bodice is boned and laces up the back.

The dress in the show is too long, so I didn't worry much about having the right hem length. The bustle snaps onto the bodice underneath the lace. That may have been my best idea on this costume! Made it a lot easier travel wise and a lot less difficult to put on.
Personal Thoughts:: I discovered too late that I have velociraptor arms when I wear this in that I cannot lift them over my head.
