About this Costume
Construction Details:
All parts of the outfit that required sewing were done by me. I admittedly had no idea how to approach this outfit since there were such limited pictures, but I tried to make do with what was available and I think it came out alright. I used fabrics that were already in my closet and waved it off with the idea that I was doing custom colors LOL.

My favorite part of the outfit was something I decided to add on as a last-minute detail: the clouds that were hand painted on the front and back of the shirt. I guess they could be seen as stylistic clouds, but I messed up with painting them in several spots and I tried to fix it by adding more paint, which came out as my own stylistic clouds in the end, haha.

I was debating on leaving the top unfitted as so many other cosplayers did before, but having the top fitted made it a lot easier to pose in kicks since there was less fabric flapping around.
Personal Thoughts:
This was made for the Ragnarok World Championship 2011 contest! I have a Taekwon Ranker in iRO and I wanted to bring her to life, but rather than buy new fabrics I settled with what was available in the closet, and in doing so I had to veer away from how she looked like already (she has the alternate color in game). Then I had to use my real hair for easier shooting (my character has the pink buns hairstyle), and choose a much simpler hat to wear for practicality (she has a Magistrate Hat, Sigrun Wings, and Pirate Dagger). In the end, it came out to be a far cry from what I intended but I like to think that the spirit is still there!

The skirt proved to be an issue during the kicks since it provided little coverage with the kicks (and it was really lightweight), but BigWhiteBazooka made it work out... ^^;;
