Construction Details:

This all came into motion via Kat Andrews and an idea she approached us with last year of SDCC: a group of the Seven Deadly Sins personified using different cultural fashion periods, principal colors, and representative demons. I grabbed Envy immediately because GREEN GREEN GREEN and decided to go with an Indian-influenced design to balance out the cultures and incorporate the snake motif (lol j/k, I was actually watching too much Devdas). Most of this costume was made from a gold-patterned, imported sari fabric that I hand-sewed hundreds of Swarovski crystals onto. I'll save this from becoming tl;dr by saying that the rest is pretty much trim and bling and my friends singing Tunak Tunak Tun behind me everywhere I walked.

Personal Thoughts:

I'm honestly not sure how we successfully convinced some of our closest friends to fly 3,000 miles to San Diego, coordinated a massive group of intricate costumes and set pieces, competed at a professionally-run masquerade, somehow walked away with 3 awards AND Best In Show, and still had time to drink margaritas and lay around in the pool all weekend. Comic Con = the best con forever and always the end.
