Construction Details:

Twill with satin details. All the satin is finished with a narrow satin stitch along the edges. The applique and trim on this was so much fun to make and attach, especially the big flourish on the front of the jacket. I patterned the pieces onto double-sided interfacing, pressed it onto the fabric, then went crazy with the zig-zag function on my sewing machine. The epaulets are craft foam with a few layers of decoupage medium brushed on, and the shiny bits are just halves of fillable ornaments with 2 layers of paint inside - transparent blue under chrome.

Personal Thoughts:

When a friend asks you to cosplay from a ridiculous series like G Gundam, you do it. Gundam Rose wears a fusilier. I mean, really, enough said. I agreed to make this costume immediately after watching the series.
