About this Costume
- Construction Details:
- Tashigi is of one my favourite One Piece characters, and one of my first cosplays. So I decided it was time for a re-make after 7 years! The blouse is a yellow twill that was hand-stenciled/painted. There were over 50 flowers on the fabric before it became the blouse. The jacket is denim, lined with poplin. I used a minky, sherpa-like fur instead of a shaggy, pile fur since my machine cannot handle that type of faux fur. It's super-soft, and easy to work with! The jacket's a little long, though; it'll need to be shortened and re-hemmed. The sword. I hate it. I started making a wood one, but ran out of time and ended up making a 5-day rushed replacement from paper-mache, foam board, and any found items I could gather. It WILL be replaced. All and all, a fun costume that is better than the 1st attempt, but in need of some fixing.
- Personal Thoughts:
- This costume is wicked comfy and I cannot wait to wear it again.
