Construction Details:

One of my favorite characters from Guilty Gear, the love-struck pirate! This costume was my first sewn completely by myself! It was a daunting task at first, but her costume required little to no pattern usage. I used an old poodle skirt pattern for the bottom and altered it quite a bit, the rest was winged. Her hat caused problems as well, but after a few tries with the craft foam, I got it to be the right shape. The armor and the anchor are made from insulation foam, done last minute. The coated them with latex paint then spraypainted them. They could be better, but time crunchers can't be choosers! I put myself into that situation. Anyway, I enjoyed my time in this costume, May is such a cute and fun character and we share a lot of the same attributes.
