About this Costume
- Construction Details:
- Ugh, construction-wise this entire costume was a bloody nightmare. I went with the character sheet design, as opposed to the version on Travis' shirt, and some of the colors are a bit off because this was a last minute costume for AX 2011. lol I made everything, all of the red fabric used for the bra, panty, gloves, and eye mask (with white topstitching for detail~) were salvaged from a leotard I purchased last year. I had just enough fabric for everything too. ^^; All of the half circle trim was cut out of ponte knit, and the pink bows are made out of broadcloth (I think) and dyed using RitDye. Siyegen helped me with measuring the cape pattern, and it took me 3 test patterns to figure out Strawberry's weird fetish swimsuit looking thing.
- Personal Thoughts:
- BRA AND PANTY COSPLAY IS HARD.
Wig Details
- Wig Brand
- Lucaille
- Wig Name
- Aria Holmes Scarlet
- Styling Time
- 2-3 hours
- Wig Quality Rating
- 4 / 5.00
- Styling Notes
- The base wig was super thick, so it took me a while trim up the length in the back and style the bangs. The eye mask thing is sewn into the wig, while the hair bows are pinned into place (thank you to Siyegen for helping me). The original length of the ponytail clips went to almost my knees, so I chopped a lot off! I feel like I've gotten a lot better when it comes to layering wigs!
- Wig Review
- The wig was much brighter in person, but aside from that the fibers are a nice quality, it does have a bit of a sheen to it though!
