Construction Details:

I don't know where to start and I doubt anyone wants to read every single step. So how about some interesting construction details, hmm? The gold trim is two trims layered together to get a nice 3D look that would pop on stage. In order to make it pop even more on stage I glued several hundred rhinestones into the trim. Jacket is interlined in duck cotton which helped give it a nice crisp look. The cape is two half-circles sewn together.

Personal Thoughts:

Uhm, YAY SPARKLES! Hurrah for ridiculously gaudy costumes and three pairs of eyelashes and getting to go on stage in this thing. There are things I need to fix before I wear it again but I adore this costume. I love Oscar, I love Takarazuka, and with my Marie Antoinette I nearly made an old Asian lady get into a car accident because she spotted us walking down the street at Fanime. What more could a cosplayer ask?

Styling Notes

The wig came already curly so all I had to add were the bangs and shorter curls on the sides.
